Hello, before the pandemic I had the misfortune to be charged with drinking and driving by York Regional police. I was handcuffed and arrested and spent 8 hours in a very cold cell.
I decided at the time that I would fight this charge because I was arrested at home, and an hour after a 911 call was placed by a witness who said I drove perfectly when I left the liquor store.
Now at Newmarket court, 6 months later I was told I should just plead guilty. However, an individual suggested to contact Peter Lindsay. Mr. Lindsay is not only an excellent Lawyer, but he is without doubt a man of impeccable integrity. I could not hope to retain his services, lack of finances and all that. He decided to take on my case for what he explained for free because of broader ramifications. It was clearly a Constitutional issue. The time and resources he endured were nothing less than phenomenal. One example is the 2-inch-thick defense he wrote to fight the case. Unfortunately, it never saw a courtroom because the judge made it impossible to use, because he dropped one of the charges. This means the Constitutional issue was no longer applicable which also somehow eliminated my right to a speedy trial. The case was just resolved in October of 2022. This review is not aimed at bad mouthing the Government, nor do I mean to imply that Peter Lindsay runs a benevolent business. This review is about a man who uses the law to gain justice for his clients. This review is about the fact that there is no finer Lawyer, nor a finer human being. I will always be grateful to Peter and if you're looking for someone who will go to bat for you, I promise, you won't make a better choice.

I dont know where to begin. Peter and Anna were my saviours! I still remember the first day back in 2021. I found Peter on google (after calling so many lawyers). Anna was the one who picked up my call. She listened to my situation and immediately comforted me and told me I was in Peter's good hands. This sounds like I'm marketing here, but I'm not, this is my real life experience. Peter called me later that day to go through my situation. He asked me to tell him nothing but the absolute truth which I did, then he extended the benefit of his experience to my situation with the false allegation that I was facing. All the other lawyers I had spoken to until then told me to start self improvement classes ASAP even before first appearance, even before seeing any charge sheet, evidence sheet, etc while I kept telling them I had done nothing and I was falsely alleged. Peter was the only lawyer who trusted me and advised that I should wait. First appearance day came and there was no charge with the courts. I could tell he had handled many clients in his career and my situation was the third of its kind he'd seen until then in his career! After a long wait thereafter, I finally received the letter from the police that all my finger prints, photos, etc were deleted. There was no case. All thanks to Peter! But you don't have to take my word for it. Call up a few lawyers then call Peter and and see for yourself.

If you are looking for a criminal lawyer who will do everything in his power to help you with your legal issues, look no further because Peter Lindsay is your guy.

My son was in a situation where he needed to hire a criminal lawyer to help him deal with severe life altering charges and he was referred to Peter by his law enforcement friend. From what my son told me, Peter was honest, truthful and he seemed like he actually cared about him. He replies very fast and always kept my son updated in every step of the process.

My son couldnt eat, sleep as he was worried about getting a criminal record and losing his job and his investment property.

The criminal charges were reduced to a highway traffic act violation and my son was able to keep his employment, his investment property and carry on with his life. It was a hard time for our family, but with Peters help we pulled through and everything is okay now. We hope that we never have to hire a criminal lawyer again, but if we do, Peter will be the one we call.

If you are looking for legal advice that goes beyond you legal troubles Peter Lindsay should be your attorney of choice.

6 years ago Mr. Lindsay not only got my case resolved in a matter of months. The judge went as far to comment that this was a factor he used in arriving to his decision. The ruling was favorable.

Peter is tough but gentle. Once he takes up your case rest assured that you are in great hands.

His advice was real and up to now I still consult with him and he has been in my corner and I believe he will continue to be there. A professional at heart and practice!

If you are looking for a criminal defence lawyer, Mr. Peter Lindsay is your answer.

I was involved in a serious matter (Impaired Driving and Over 80) in 2019 that required legal advice and representation. I did not know of any criminal defence lawyers at the time and when I reached out to a friend who works in the police force, he recommended Mr. Lindsay to me. He spoke highly of Mr. Lindsay’s professionalism and outcomes and says he always recommends him to people in similar situations. My family and I immediately contacted his office and were able to make an appointment with Mr. Lindsay.
Upon meeting Mr. Lindsay, my family and I felt that he was welcoming, warm and personable. I was expecting to feel ‘intimidated’ or uncomfortable, but Mr Lindsay was very understanding and made us feel at ease by taking the time to listen and answer all our questions. He also explained our situation to us and the consequences the charges would lead to. He shared with us his perspective based the details of the situation I provided him, which was very helpful. He also told us we are always welcome to speak with other lawyers before making a decision to retain him. However my family and I felt confident in Mr Lindsay and retained him at this initial appointment.

Throughout the process Mr Lindsay was always honest and communicated with us efficiently and was quick to respond to phone calls and emails. He guided me through all the steps leading up to trial. Whenever there were any changes he was quick to update me. He also took care of all the other court appearances which was very helpful.

Mr Lindsays is very knowledgable in criminal law and extremely experienced. He had a strong defence argument and was absolutely brilliant in the court room, especially when cross-examining the Crown's witness. As a result, I was acquitted of both my charges and I could not be happier with the outcome. Had I not retained Mr Lindsay as my defence lawyer, I would likely have a criminal record.
